What are public affairs?

Public affairs refers to corporate or government relations that relate to the political and public sectors. It deals with communication, dialogue and cooperation between companies, government agencies and other civil society actors. Public affairs involves the communication of information, opinions and interests between business, government and other civil society groups. It also serves to protect and strengthen the company's interests by informing and educating the government and the public about the company's activities.
