It is a 24-hour radio station that plays English language contemporary hit radio focused on Top 40 and US Top 40 from Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, United States and around the world. 987FM is the sole contemporary hit radio on the FM frequency band in Singapore. 987's official full launch took place as Radio 10 (or just Perfect Ten 98.7FM) on New Year's Day 1989 at the stroke of midnight SGT as 24-hour music radio station in English. Its studio is currently at Mediacorp Campus, Mediapolis. The radio station's official tagline and slogan is "Singapore's Number 1 Hit Music Station" (or just Singapore's No.1 Hit Music Station and Singapore's #1 Hit Music Station). 987 officially largest marked sign became Singapore's largest and number one English hit music station and Singapore's largest and number one English music radio station.
